Cheryl Pickett has always loved books and discovered a fondness for writing way back in elementary school. However, it wasn’t until 1999 that she looked seriously at writing as a potential career path.

Thanks to a patient editor, her first article was published in December 1999, just before the turn of the millennium. At that time, her byline showed her name as Cheryl Beck, and she will always be proud to be Carl & Marguerite’s daughter.

To date, she has more than 150 articles to her credit. Her work has appeared both nationally and internationally in a variety of newspapers, online newsletters and two magazines.

Cheryl has also transferred her freelance success to the world of marketing and publicity and has found a new passion in sharing creative resources with others.

By the end of 2006, Cheryl started several projects, launched her publishing and consulting business, married a wonderful guy named Dave and become proud Step-Mom to Andy, Steve and Aaron.

In 2007, some unexpected difficulties came up that got in the way of both projects. As of October though, things are looking better and everything is underway again with the hope of launching at least one print book, report

or e-book in 08.
